I would rate this 3.5. I just couldn't get into it like I did the first 3 books.

While this wasn't my favorite book in this series, it was still a good read. I like how it balances the action with plot/character building. Plus, I enjoyed learning more about Noor and her history in the book. It ended with a big cliffhanger, so I guess I need to read the next book soon.

I think i may be getting a little bored of this series. There was nothing bad about this series. It was enjoyable but to be honest i wasn't as focused or captivated.

I love the Miss Peregrine series and how the author blends old fashioned creepy photos to tell his story, but this installment was more like a transition story until the next one. It's also been so long since the 4th one came out that I should have refreshed my memory of the facts.
In this story, Jacob, leader of the peculiar group partners with newbie Noor and the rest of their brood to help Miss Peregrine achieve peace between clans in America. There is also a side quest where Jacob and Noor search for the mysterious V, a dying man's request from the previous book.
A lot of set up goes on here, but only a moderate amount of payoff. I think this book will be great when viewed in the list of the series, but as a standalone, it's a little lacking.
