NO CHILL IN THIS BOOK

Fifth book in the Miss Peregrine's Peculiar children series. Still a cliffhanger at the end. Loved the story. Although I could predict a good part of what was happening. Feeling like this one is a little different than the others. I think the next one is the last of the series and that might be a good thing because I think it's time the story ends. But still a very good book. I devoured it in two days
This book was just as good as the ones that came before it! The beginning was a bit hard to get through because I haven't read the others for so long I had to remember things from the other books. Overall, great read! Horrible cliff hanger though!!!
This entire series is amazing and the newest book did not disappoint! I find myself falling for these characters more and more, including the newest member of the gang, Noor. I am so attached to this series and it isn't hard to get lost into peculiardom!
spoilers!- Though I'm sad about Jacob and Emma's "break-up", I can't say enough how much I love Noor and Jacob together. They are a perfect fit. They are adorable and their romance doesn't feel rushed or forced at all. The cliffhanger ending has me reeling; how can I possibly wait for another book?

i’m... disappointed? idk this was like a really slow rollercoaster that had lots of little bumps and wasn’t very thrilling and just keeps on going? it feels like a whole new series has been started and everything in the previous books has been undone. aaa idk this just wasn’t it.

So I realize a lot of people don’t like this book and I totally get why. Honestly I like it a lot better than the 2nd, but nowhere near as much as the first.
The first book was genuine and the photographs guided the story. Books 2-5 feel like the photos are an afterthought.
This book was fast, with not much happening and literally picked up right after book 4 which I read ages ago so I had completely forgotten what was going on.
A lot of things were NOT explained. A lot of things felt tacked on.
But I LOVE Jacob and Noor. I never liked the romance with Emma, it always felt so weird. I still love the characters and I’m so glad Fiona is alive. I love the world Riggs has created, I just wish he’d do more with it. Looking forward to book 6 and hoping it makes up for the mistakes of book 5 much like book 3 did for book 2.

Quick read
For the most part, great continuation of the others, however, sometimes it seems made up as it goes. The twist and turns can give whiplash. Looking forward to the next one tho.

It's been a while since I've read one of these, but it feels like it kind of lost its way a bit. The last couple of chapters just seemed like a rush to make things go wrong so they could be resolved in the next book. Also didn't the pictures line up better with the story earlier on? I feel like they did. It's now like he committed to a stylistic thing, but is only half-assing it. It was time well spent, it just wasn't as good as the earlier books.
