The plot thickens! With what was revealed of Qifrey in the last volume, I think this partly "breather episode" fit nicely with the pace of the overall story, especially as it let the plot back in near the end there. It's a very enjoyable series still! I most of all love how there's no true "good VS bad" side, it's a complex moral quandary, this issue of how magic should be used and by whom.

This series is really wholesome, with beautiful art and it also starts to challenge our own moral thinking. The right and wrong between the outlook of the brimmed caps versus the pointed caps is not that clear cut when you look at the actual consequences in different situations. It is very similar to political philosophy and philosophy of law, but then it is light-hearted and about magic.

To prevent spoilers I'll leave it at this. If you can help a person you care for but the arts to do it are forbidden for the sake of society as a whole, what will you do?
