A murder from the past is mentioned several times. Alcohol is mentioned and drank throughout. Infidelity is the reason the couple is seeing the ex-therapist. There is suggestions of stalking and being followed. One character is a widower, her husband dying from a terminal illness prior to the books beginning. Mentions of infertility/fertility issues with the MC.

This was one of my most anticipated books of the year, and I was so excited to read it a month early through Book of the Month! This domestic thriller was just the right mix of mystery and action. When I am reading a domestic thriller, I like for the plot to still be in the realm of believability, which this 100% was. I felt like the characters had clear, believable motives, and nothing felt forced in the plot. The twist was something I did see coming, but it was still enjoyable to read.

This was an excellent thriller—full of twists and turns. I loved how until the last 25% of the book I still wasn’t sure who the villain was and who was innocent. It kept me questing the whole time. 

4* because there were a few elements that I wish were flushed out a little bit more. Part of the ending felt rushed and tacked-on but could have done well with some better foreshadowing.
