I enjoyed the structure of the book, it made it fairly fast-paced. I have to say the ending to the main “mystery” was a shock to me, something I wouldn’t have guessed on my own. I feel the resolution to Avery’s dilemma was quickly written just to be wrapped up. It didn’t feel substantial enough for us to have read about it throughout the book.  It could’ve just been eliminated from the plot altogether as it didn’t add anything.

I enjoyed reading this book and went through it pretty quickly thanks to the fast pace and mystery. The end
fell flat for me, and some aspects were just too convenient and seemed to only come together so the book can be completely tied up with a little bow of “the end”

It is something I’d most enjoy as a beach or vacation read if I had to pick the best time for it.

Quick listen, with the right vibe for a twisty thriller. I wouldn't say it was predictable, but it wasn't very surprising/unique. I did appreciate that they made the "therapist" not an actual therapist from the start so that the unorthodox methods weren't at unbelievable. I think having more of Avery would have added more... Warmth, maybe? I don't know, something was missing for me.

Would've been a straight 4 but something about the ending I didn't like. I really loved the premise of this. A therapist lost her license and makes her business thrive by finding unorthodox ways to help her clients. Avery was my favorite character by far. I would love to read another story with her in it just doing her therapist thing.
