This is the longest it's taken me to read a book but not because I didn't like it, I didn't want this story to end I wanted to savor this final book in the series. I knew once I read that Epilogue, those final words........this series would be finished, these characters would have their HEA's and my heart would be whole from the amazing journey through the stars.

"I feel broken. I feel freed. I feel this huge amount of relief that the chains are actually gone and now I can finally live, and at the same time, terrified that I don't know how. But I'm ready to try."

Amy is a master at storytelling, a poet with words and this book, this was her masterpiece. This story had my heart pounding, racing with anticipation from the emotions drowning me in feels and the malignant evil lurking between the pages of this book. This story emanated hurt, strength, fear and love, so much love.

"Every day of our lives is a risk, but I want to live each of them without being disabled by fear. In the best way that I can. I did it for so long, and I can't any longer. And that doesn't mean I'm not scared...it just means it's worth it."

Rhys and Maggie's story was one that consumed my thoughts, seduced my heart and blew my mind. Their attraction was palpable, chemistry explosive and love was so damn swoon-worthy you felt deep in your soul. So be ready to fall in love "Beneath The Stars"!

"And then every once in a while, God makes someone extra special. Someone who is more vulnerable than others, and it's our job to protect them. To take care of them. Even when it ain't pretty."

In ‘Beneath The Stars’ we meet Maggie and Rhys. Maggie is a twenty year old who has been through hell. But she isn’t like most woman her age. Maggie is definitely more mature than most people her age, and she really ‘feels’ people. And from the moment she met Rhys Manning, a thirty two year old country rock star, a few months back she has been in awe of him. But a relationship between the two of them is definitely forbidden. Not only is Maggie way to innocent and young for Rhys, there is also danger luring and although their chemistry is of the roofs.. Some people would do anything to hurt Rhys.

‘Beneath The Stars’ is definitely A.L. Jackson at her best. From the moment I started reading I found myself wanting to know more about these two characters. Both Maggie and Rhys are so different, but they have this connection that is just incredible to read about it and I was rooting for them from the start. The chemistry between them is flying of the pages and definitely makes you swoon and sigh.

What I also love about this read, is that it isn’t only romance. There is also some suspense going on, and it kept me guessing right till the very end. Especially Rhys’s characters is so mysterious and there is a lot in his past that keeps hunting him. And I really wanted to keep on reading to find out what was going on. And to be honest.. his past with his dad made me cry. I was so sad for the little boy. Especially since I work at a Trauma ward in the hospital and have seen stuff like this happen in real-life.

What was also fun is reading about characters from the previous books. A.L. Jackson is definitely a star in letting her characters intwine into different books and series. And although I haven’t read them all, I enjoyed reading about these characters too. But at times there were a lot of names to keep apart. And I’m really not good with names.

‘Beneath The Stars’ was a fun and entertaining read that definitely makes you want to read more A.L. Jackson novels.

A bit of a slow burn, winding up to the final climax. Frustrating at some points, but no one does tension quite like A L Jackson. Steamy scale 2.5 of 5 (Audible)

AL Jackson lyrical writing style really does it for me, I’ve loved everything I’ve read from her and this was no exception. Rhys and Maggie are two broken people who have lived through some awful things. Their attraction and connection is undeniable and consuming. This really had a bit of everything - steam, swoon, a bit forbidden, a bit of age-gap, a suspenseful backstory and a twist I definitely didn’t see coming but definitely kept me turning the pages. Rhys and Maggie help tame each other’s demons in the most beautiful way.

This is the fourth book in the Falling Stars series. A forbidden love story between rock star Rhys and sweet Maggie. With a 12 year age difference and Maggie's overprotective brother, anything more than friends was off limits. But the feelings between these two could not be ignored. The constant desire to be near each other was overwhelming.

Both Rhys and Maggie struggled with events from their past. Memories haunted them. But being near each other gave them a sense of peace. Together, they made each other feel alive. They both had kind souls and good hearts. They trusted each other no questions asked. I could really feel how much this couple belonged together and how much they needed one another.

This was a beautiful friends to lovers romance. Yet again, A.L. Jackson is a master at intertwining a suspenseful element within a love story.

I received an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Rhys is determined to spend his life alone to protect those he cares for. Then there’s Maggie, that has an innocence about her, and he knows he shouldn’t, she’s off limits being the baby sister of his friend and twelve years younger.
Maggie is about living her no matter what, after what she went through. There’s a pull to Rhys that he keeps denying, she knows there’s good in him, even if he can’t see it.
Rhys knows that it won’t end well, and he can’t start something with Maggie, but the pull is there, and his heart wants her, but will they both survive when the demons start to try to destroy them.
