My Review of The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka

What the actual heck was that? I honestly don't even know if I should call it a "story"—that feels like an insult to the definition of what a story should be. The Metamorphosis was a total letdown. I was expecting something deep or philosophical, but instead, it felt like nothing more than an overhyped personal rant. I get that Kafka had some serious issues with his father (his letter is a mess, by the way), but seriously, why turn your personal problems into literature? Just because you had some family drama doesn’t mean the rest of us need to read about it.
I honestly don’t understand why people praise Kafka so much. It’s like he took his unresolved issues, wrapped them in a weird, nonsensical plot, and slapped it on a page hoping it would be seen as profound. If this is considered great writing, I’m definitely not sold.

It probably ... deserves 5 stars honestly I just didn’t know what was going on ever?

Idk what I read but the ending highkey had me feeling bad for bug man so giving an extra star for that.
