I’ve basically treated this series like one continuous book, because I can’t put it down. With all of the shocking cliffhangers, killing off of beloved characters and epic twists and turns, my nerves are wrecked. I’m also here for all the relationships. The romantic kind but also the ones that develop between a group of people that may have never turned into friends had it not been for Vhalla. On to the next book even though I know there will be more heartache but also more love and adventure.

Objectively this book is not great. I do not care - I love it.

This one was my second favorite in the series to the first one and probably might even be better but I’m mad about book 2+3 and now see the plot holes so I can’t blindly love the story as I once did

Alas, here’s what I loved
- drama at every turn
- random things happening for no reason but are very fun!!
- fritz has a hot dad >>>
- the banter!!!!!!!
- crying !! If you make me laugh or cry you wrote a good book and I did both!!

Ugh there is a scene (you will know what I’m talking about) that is just so beautifully written and creates such an emotional vibe and was truly lovely. I really think Elise has all the making for a factabulous writer but I seriously just get the vibe that she loved these characters and story so much that she was so eager to write it all down that she didn’t spend the (agonizing) time to go back and weave in additional details and facets that get writing from good to great. Luckily I am also obsessed with the story so it’s ok for me!!!!!!

Quite bummed out by what happened one of my favorite characters... I wish Elise Kova had left that alone bc he was such a good character, but other than that I flew through this book. Just as entertaining as the last and managed to pull quite a few heartstrings along the way.

Slightly less "cheerful" than the previous books. It was very dark, but has an interesting ending like the other books.
