This book remains childish to me, even though the themes seem to get darker with each installment. It is as though the plot gets darker and more intense while the characters fail to react/evolve according to their actions/experience. This paradox makes the story fall flat.

That being said, as with every Kova book, I continue to read them.

perhaps it is because i am still feeling the buzz after finishing this book but it really really enjoyed this, more so than the rest in the series.maybe it is because i like having my heart broken. this book doesn’t stop with the emotional gut punches. there is some really good character development and some incredibly sad moments.
where some of the other books in the series are lacking, i feel this one makes up for it greatly. i will be sad to finish this series.
vhalla is not always my favourite and she is lacking in comparison to other MC’s I adore. even so, her development has been significant and i think the author has progressed her growth well.

WARNING: You will shed many, many tears!

Ughh this book brought out all the emotion......I won't give away any spoilers, you'll just have to read it yourself, but have a few tissues handy.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Vhalla has really grown from that library girl to a total badass! I've said it before, but she has easily become one of my favorite heroine's. Book 4 doesn't disappoint and once again that ending will have you grabbing for the next one.
