Smart Couples Finish Rich: 9 Steps to Creating a Rich Future for You and Your Partner by David Bach

I thought this book was great! Very simple steps that make sense! i really think every couple, young and old, should read this book. I used to work in the financial sector with 401k accounts and it always amazed me at how little people care about their financial futures. Planning your financial future together is so important, otherwise what are you working for? I am considering making this book my new wedding gift to couples!

I wish I had read the updated version, but I still really enjoyed this one. Such useful information!

I've read a lot of money management books and this one was good in that it had exercises to get me talking with my husband. That was helpful.

the version I listened to is a decade and a half old so it is a little dated. the information is good, but typical of the popularity of financial blogs in the recent decade. but Bach was probably a little bit of a pathway maker of his time. I would recommend reading the updated version (we haven't but assume it is more relevant).

Kind of like most other personal finance books but I like the values circle & building goals based on a foundation of values. This also pushes you to take action.

The best personal finance book I've ever read...it is responsible for getting my and my spouse's personal finances in order and educating me on what our priorites should be and how to achieve our goals. I would say it's for those who already have a basic knowledge of finance, and will help take you to the next level up. Would recommend for ALL COUPLES.

I loved this book. I'm trying to apply the knowledge to my real life. That is the hardest part.

I read "Smart Women..." and really found it helpful and worth the read. "Smart Couples..." added essentially nothing to my overall knowledge - basically the same principals at play here. That said, I recommend reading one of these to anyone trying to sort through finances.
