This book was amazing! I'm an author and I'm used to predicting everything about the book from page one, but this was not the case! I definitely had suspicions of some characters, but I was never certain about those suspicions. It took me less than three days to read this book cover to cover because I loved it so much. (I'm a slow reader so that's a big accomplishment for me!) The twists and turns in this book were amazing and I had a faint idea of those twists coming, but I never knew when or how they would come. This book caught me off guard completely and I wanted to keep reading and reading until I got more and more answers. The designs of the character are amazing as well, so amazing that they seem like I could reach out and touch them. Writing characters that feel real can be extremely hard, but Sara Holland did it amazingly! The world-building in this novel was absolutely incredible!! I've been trying to design my world for my novel, and it's been a difficult task. Sara Holland built an amazing world that seems real. I truly loved escaping into this novel and I will reread this duology for years to come!!

LOVED THIS!!!!!
I love the suspense and the unpredictability!!
This is also one of the few books in YA where the lead character is not that unknowing about what’s happening. She doesn’t act like she does not know what’s happening while it’s obvious what’s happening (like what happens in many many YA books).
Can’t wait for the sequel!!😍

'Everless' is a YA fantasy series.

The first book is quite slow, though the fantasy element was interesting and it should have been more explored. Also, the twists were just okay, though some were enjoyable.

But the book's biggest flow was the romance. The main characters had few to no moments to establish the emotions that they developed. Thus, it was not easy to believe that the romance was that strong as it was presented.

Maybe the second book would be better.

Great concept, vivid characters and story. Falters a bit at the end for me.

Creative twists and turns

I enjoyed this book for its fresh sci-fi concept of bloodirons and time as currency in a new way. I don't love that it ends on a cliffhanger but I can't wait to read Evermore.

this felt just like any ordinary fantasy novel, girl lives in poverty, girl goes to place of immense wealth, girl discovers something about herself, girl defeats villain. The only person I liked was liam, because roan had no personality.
