Glad I finally found the time to read this, it's wonderful. It's a quite sorrowful, tragic piece on the inevitable end to the materialistic and careless, rip-roaring lifestyle that encapsulated the 1920s and the illusory nature of the "American Dream."
Fitzgerald's* writing style speaks for itself—it's beautiful and fluid and immensely poetic. I have yet to read the work of a writer who possesses a similar magic when it comes to their style of writing.
*When I say Fitzgerald, I am of course referring to Zelda Fitzgerald. F*ck F. Scott Fitzgerald.
