DNF
unfortunately, this felt too much too much like a love triangle and I hate those. Maybe I missed reading the tropes? I bought the audiobook and usually I always finish them. The actors were great, but it was way too frustrating.

I read a lot of contemporary romances, but I think I'm definitely a romcom type of person (and that's on me for reading this one). Summer annoyed me far too much throughout this whole story and really plays into the rich girl stereotype.
I did, however, enjoy Summer and Fitz together and their story together. Fitz was pretty three dimensional - he plays hockey, but he doesn't anticipate that it will be a career for him and really enjoys making video games. Fitz and Dean's football mates really pulled through in this one for me.
I did listen to the audiobook, and the narrators were really fantastic! I highly enjoyed listening to them.

This book had potential and I think I could see the series getting better, but I struggled to relate to these characters and want them to even be together. While they compliment one another, eventually, their overall chemistry felt forced and shallow. I also struggled with some of the dialogue finding it to be very immature.

opposites attract.
summer is all about empowering women and she’s that bitch for standing up to creepy, misogynistic professors and slut shamers. she’s passionate about her fashion major and is literally a energetic ray of sunshine. i adored her personality.
fitz, tattooed video game designer and an introvert. there were times where he frustrated me mainly because he couldn’t be honest with summer.
the two of them were stubborn but their relationship and chemistry was off the charts.
what i also loved about this book was the different topics discussed— rape culture, slut shaming, misogyny etc. it was refreshing.
compared to what i adored about this book, the limited interactions summer and fitzy had was the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars.
