I love a good MC romance, and I can already tell this is going to be such a bingeable series. It took me some time to get used to the author’s writing style (particularly the dialogue), but once I did I was HOOKED.

I hardly ever do this... but this book was just so bad. I really wanted to like it. I have to say that by 20% I had almost DNFed the book 3 times. In fact the only reason I didn’t was because of a book discussion I wanted to be a part of selected this book.

I love a good taboo romance. I love a good bad boy, as well as a million other tropes. This book had a million cliches. Plus the language was ridiculous.

What grown ass woman uses the words Sweet, dork, and Oh My Gawd (yes literally spelled like that). The H talked like a 12 year old girl. Not only that- the president of a bad ass MC said things like “you’re such a dork”

Not to mention the extreme overuse of Kings “babe”.

I can’t even tell you the amount of

Good points
-Taboo Romance
-Bikers
-main male lead is fierce about his woman

Bad points
-horrible biker lingo and bikers are obsessed with Elvis??? It’s pretty cliché.
-The female lead flip flopped a lot.

She was groomed. She was 15 when her crush was encouraged by the grown man and her parents. Then 18 when she was married to a 36 year old man. But then turns around and is with a 18 year old when she is 26. Maybe not as big of a gap and King was really pushy but still kinda gives an ICK factor.

I feel like she didn’t give her brother enough of a chance. Then again maybe that’s messed up cause of the situation she was in but he went to jail for her, bought her a house, and made sure they could find her. Not saying he is brother of the year… she also was like I am never taking money from a man again but then caved immediately.

3.5. OK, so I have mixed feelings about this one. I liked the taboo relationship, the overall vibes, and the motorcycle club element. I’m not usually a huge fan of insta love, but I get why it was needed in this book and that was fine.

I didn’t like Cressida at times. Her character was immature, which tracks due to her parents and husband (he’s older and married her when she was 18).
BUT it made it hard for me to be ok with her turning around and dating King who is only 18 and her student.

King was very mature for his age and I loved the apple poems. That was cute.

I've seen a lot of people say this series gets better as it goes. And I’m very into the MC vibes, so I will read more from this series in the future.

I don’t get this hype at all. I don’t think I like age gaps with older women, but my biggest issue was he’s her 18 year old student. I could not get over that. I also was not into the MC club aspect. Im sure someone would enjoy this but I don’t.
