Gorgeous art! After watching the show a while ago I wanted to dive into the manga and it’s just reignited my love for it 👏🏼 I wanted to befriend and feed apples to a Shinigami and I’m not sure what that says about me 😅

This is the first manga I’ve read, and it is fantastic. Such interesting themes and ideas. It’s like Sherlock Holmes and Watson vs misguided Sherlock Holmes and Shinigami.

This is a gripping beginning to this story! At no point could I tell where the plot would go next. All of the characters' actions are so interesting to watch. My only gripe with this was the blatant sexism (all older female characters are homemakers or becoming one, comments about one being surprisingly/unusually good at former FBI job because she's a woman, women revolve around the male characters). For me, though, the storytelling still made this manga enjoyable.
Pretty damn good. It's dark, fun and we'll drawn and written. I'm looking forward to seeing the conclusion of Death Note.
Definitely going to give them next set a chance. If there was a 24 hour manga store nearby I might consider it. At first I was not impressed but as the story moved through I became more intrigued with the complexities of the the actual notebook and decisions behind it. This aspect slowly dissipates in favor of a who is going to outsmart who, which is fun, but I guess the flirting with the morality aspect of it all is what I found entertaining.
