This book read me for filth! No, but seriously, it was really helpful for understanding a lot of my struggles. As the title suggests, it is focused on gay men and lesbians (the 90s pre-LGBT paradigm). It would be helpful for anyone who feels like they might be having difficulty personally or in their relationships due to their attraction to the same sex. But the language is very binary (e.g. your girlfriend/boyfriend, he or she, defining bisexual and the same and "opposite" sex) so that might be alienating for some. But I found it really really very valuable.
