A story about a man’s relationship with his father, his country, and his best friend - The Kite Runner is a profound, heartbreaking, and hopeful story. I don’t think there has ever been a character as noble as Hassan, Amir’s best friend. The book is told through Amir’s POV, growing up in Afghanistan and making a new home in America as he learns what makes a person courageous.
