I mean I liked it… I just wasn’t super invested. I loved the difference in culture and other languages tied in though!

Intriguing fantasy worldbuilding, pining leads and more of a quiet romance, meddling older brother who's also the best, family dynamics, working through trauma and grief. This had a lot of layers to it!

Loved Natalie's narration, happily surprised with a bi hero.

This wrapped up a bit too tidy for me, but overall an interesting fantasy romance! Definitely want to check out more from the author.

it’s boring, i read it for a book club and at first it was exciting but idk i just felt like she had a great idea but couldn’t execute it well.
i found the FML too annoying, very victim-oh-woe-is-me mentality but yeah waste of my time
