Too many "aren't we great success" stories, too little insight. The book could be half the length and still provide as much useful information.

12 years have aged the contents of this book considerably, but it's nice to see that what was initiative and new a decade ago had transitioned into being self evident. For that reason wasn't as instructive now as it probably was at publication.

Unfortunately, true design thinking practices are still far from ubiquitous. And for companies where the practices aren't yet in place this book could be a good motivator and a beginner's guide.

Compelling, relevant--a must for designers looking to share the need for design to the world at large. Recommended to anyone with a stake in something larger than themselves

Not the worse buzz book I've read but still far too heavy on the "here's how I/my company became great" and too light on the "steps you can take". I get it - IDEO does some interesting things and using design thinking can help change how your workplace does things beyond the same old/same old but there were far too many repetitive moments.

The seminal work on Design Thinking, and a must read for anyone studying design and product management.
Note that it more of a philosophical work about design thinking than a 'how-to' on applying it, but for context and motivation this is a great start.

This is a good book if what you're looking for is an introduction to design thinking. If you're a bit familiar with the concept, though, or have been using it to some extent, it's mostly a series of quick examples by Tim Brown of IDEO, none of which are highly illustrative. Also, given that this book came out in 2009, some of the examples are no longer current. (E.g., Nokia a leader in mobile devices?)

Still, it's useful to hear about design thinking from one of its originators.

Un libro cargado de ejemplos prácticos de cómo aplicar Design Thinking, pero también un poco pretencioso en el relato.
