a new favorite book for me from the atmosphere to the story telling to the twists everything in this book was PERFECT i could not put it down and read it in a day. Definitely an unforgettable book and the ending was WILD.

too boring. not chilly at all. i was actually surprised that i finished the whole book and didn't dnf it. but the mc's povs are actually good which helped me push through.

I think it's so nice the motel guests have group activities. Finding community is important. 3.5/5 stars

LOVED THIS SO MUCH! Was my first book by this author- will definitely be looking into others.

More ghosts, dual POV, dual time periods, and multiple murders. It’s everything I’ve come to expect from Simone St James. I just wish that the MCs didn’t always see the spirits of dead people around them, and have that be such a driving force in them trying to figure out what happened to the people who have been killed.

3.5.
Pretty sure this is a screenplay and not a novel; will star Millie Bobby Brown and that Timothee Chalamet son of a bitch.

enjoyed the mystery and the character, a bit comforting to read in the strange true crime kinda way, feminine rage fs / sometimes the two POVs blend together / wondering if shes a bi disaster...!! / some weird comments touching on homophobia but without any explicit queerness (i thought we'd get) its a bit strange. and some ableism and demonizing? also sometimes the names were too similar and that confused me, unfortunately what i thought was a clue didnt lead anywhere / i think the ending was satisfying enough but i wanted more
