Have read this during this imminent global warming, such an inspiration to take more care of our mother earth. Not just for the future generation of people, but for the generation of all living creatures as well.
I did not expect to be emotional on the last chapters. Such a miracle indeed!

reached an absolute hands shaking, dry heaving, head pounding level of crying at the end of this book and it wasn’t even sad, necessarily, just so goddamn human that it hurt. i don’t have the words to describe how amazing this book is and how much it made me feel. seriously one of the best thing i’ve ever read.

This is one of my favourite books. I felt everything about it to my core. The depression, the coldness, everything. I loved the slow moving character study and exploration of the dystopian as a result of climate change. We don’t learn much about the world, but it didn’t matter. franny is not a likeable character but that didn’t make the story any less impactful for me. It reminded me of good morning, midnight and moon of crusted snow which is another book I really enjoyed. I love these quiet dystopians/post apocalyptic books and will be on the look out for more.
