Nice to read an Agatha Christie that was at least worthy of her name, if not her best.

Classic Poirot. Good clues sprinkled throughout the book. I picked up on a few and got the basic problem solved--missed some nuances.

Reread May 2024: Figured out who and how. Didn't feel like I was just remembering, but who knows?

I didnt see the plot twist coming so 4 stars to that. I was hooked, yes. But why call someone ugly so much that it becomes an identity.
mysterious medium-paced

This was not my favourite Agatha Christie novel but the premise of a death on a flight caused by a poison dart from a blowpipe was intriguing.

I spent the vast majority of the book convinced I’d worked out who the murderer was and that for the first time Christie had been unable to trick me. Unfortunately I was very wrong and the twist still took me by surprise! I’d was going to give this book 3 stars but because she impressed me with another surprise murderer I’ve added an extra one on!
