Maybe 3.5. Hugely enjoyable as Christie always is, but not the most satisfying of her books.

I realized after finishing A Murder on the Orient Express that Murder Mystery might not be my thing, or it's Agatha Christie, because I got 92 pages into this when I realized her writing style is so abysmally dry. And, to be honest, that's a fault that so many books that released before the 1990s suffer from. They read like an uninterested voice actor reciting a script in monotone. There's no emotion. I fail to see how such a dry book as this, Dune or Fahrenheit 451 (aside from Fahrenheit 451's message) became so popular.

Awesome and fun as always. Didn’t manage to solve it, but got one or two things right (but I reckon I have read this one before). One star off for the casual racism out of nowhere.
