Ellie & Gianni have known each other all their lives. Their mothers are best friends so their families grew up together.
Thought the years Gianni teased Ellie mercilessly. Which lead to annoyance and complicated feelings for Ellie.
One night in which Ellie has a work event Gianni offers to drive her as a huge snow storm is coming, Ellie reluctantly agrees. As she foreshadows the night mainly consists of Gianni, taking the spotlight due to his celebrity status as a up and coming chef.
When the blizzard has them stranded together at a motel with only one bed, lines get crossed and feelings come to light.

This was such a good feel book. Completely helped with my book slump.
The banter between the MCs was great, I found myself laughing and smiling while reading this.

GIANNI AND ELLIE!!

We met these 2 in the book Ignite , and saw their back and forth. 2 long time "frieds", their mom's are best friends, and they spent most of their childhood together, Gianni picking on Ellie. He comes to work for her families restaurant as head chef, and the tension rises. He fresh off a cooking show and very popular. Ellie is a great sommelier, but just wants to put her family vineyard on the map. After a dinner where she was showing off her skills doesn't go as planned, mother nature strands them in a motel for 2 days, what happens when they finally succumb to things they denied feeling.

When a surprise pregnancy happens, remembering things he said in the motel; Ellie has trouble believing Gianni's words...Can he change her mind about him?

Love these two, the story flows and you can see the feelings for each other, I love his fun personality and he just loosens up her seriousness. Great read!!

Good book, safe low angst, I would have liked a bit more time spent on them building their relationship after the motel but they mostly just avoided each other so that was a bit disappointing for me. But I was happy that the motel was actually a huge chunk of the book and not just a quick chapeter, so that was good.
I really liked Gianni he seemed genuinely sweet and adorable.
Wish when they have the baby at the end that the birth wasn't skimmed over, I would have loved to read that moment from Giannis POV when he first lays eyes on his baby, for maybe some teasing between Ellie and Gianni during labour.. missed opportunity for me but overall it was a good read.

Melanie Harlow books are definitely really good and worth the hype if you like the tropes of this series, I don't particularly care for them so she is a DNR author for me right now.
