Good but one star off for unnecessary chit chat and scenery descriptions, and zero mention of the possibility of an abortion.

This felt oddly like a novella with how short a period of time the first 75% of this book covered and then months happen in the last 25%. Just felt super fast and the ending didn't feel earned cause we didn't get long enough with the characters to really see why they are in love with each other.
Taste has all the ingredients for tempting, irresistible fun. Harlow turns up the heat with her singers spice, speaks to the heart with some deliciously sweet emotion and lays on the charm with a generous dash of humor. Gianni and Ellie bring the perfect amount of flavor to seduce the senses and claim the heart.

Enemies to Lovers ❤️
I knew Gianni and Ellie were meant to be when I read Ignite. They are perfect together, they just needed to really talk and work through their differences. I love that this book has the one bed trope when the blizzard hits. They really have strong feelings that they both try to fight and ignore but the problem is they see each other everyday at work. Gianni and Ellie just have the perfect chemistry and they grew up together. This book was just perfect. I really love their relationship. Also, the epilogue was so good, I definitely teared up. This good is so good and it has the best men.

SUMMARY:
The last person on earth Ellie Fournier wanted to be stranded with is Gianni Lupo. But thanks to the blizzard of the century, she's trapped in a roadside motel room with that cocky bastard for two straight days. With one small bed. Some women might thank Mother Nature for delivering a polar vortex that maroons them with six feet of solid muscle, those deep blue eyes, that sexy grin, but not her. Ellie has known Gianni Lupo all her life, and he’s never brought her anything but bad luck and trouble. So when the tension between them explodes with enough fiery heat to melt her icy defenses, she should have known what the disastrous end result would be. After the snow melts, Ellie's left with more than just memories of the night they spent keeping each other warm. And he might be a rising star on the culinary scene, but he’s got no idea how to handle this bun in the oven. He says he wants to do the right thing, but she's not about to spend the rest of her life feeling like someone settled for her. She's terrified of falling for him. But one taste might be all it takes.
REVIEW:
Taste is the second book in Melanie Harlow's Cloverleigh Farms Next Generation series about Ellie Fourneir, Winnie's best friend, who has had a love hate relationship with Gianni Lupo sine they were children. Ellie has to be perfect and successful like her mother which decided she can achieve this by getting on the 30 under 30 list and her opportunity unfortunately happens to be on the day there is a snow blizzard in the area. Gianni has always loved being carefree and traveling for his work until he got the job at Etoile as Head Chef at the Abelard Vineyards restaurant. When Gianni finds out that Ellie is going out in what will become a snow blizzard for an opportunity to further her career so decided to drive her for her safety was a changing moment for them both so they could finally understand their true feelings for each other. It was such a crazy moment when Gianni and Ellie had to stop at a Gas Station on their way home as it was too hard to drive in the blizzard which ended up with them staying at a motel that only had one bed for them both.
Ellie and Gianni spend two days getting to know each other intimately to keep warm but also to clear up their past issues that kept them in their love hate relationship. It was fun that the time they spent in forced proximity in the motel room they got to understand there issues from the past had explanations that leads them from hate to love. It was a bit of surprise that wasn't all that much of a surprising moment when Ellie finds out she's pregnant with Gianni's baby after several weeks since they spent those two days at the motel. When Gianni brought Ellie to his new apartment with pictures of them through childhood was a heartwarming moment for their love bond. Melanie Harlow delivered a fun one bed forced proximity enemies to lovers surprise pregnancy small town romance that had me laughing and gasping at all that happened between Ellie and Gianni. Now onto the next book with MacAllister sister Felicity and her best friend Hutton French.

This enemies to lovers story was absolute perfection! I loved every minute of it and I am usually not a big fan of enemies to lovers, but with this one Melanie knocked it out of the park. Ellie and Gianni are actually children from the Frenched series, but Ellie is also best friends with Winnie from Ignite. They have known each other all their lives and they never got along. Now at 23, Ellie is the sommelier at Etoile and Gianni is the head chef there.
Ellie and Gianni are thrown together for a wine tasting that leaves them stuck in a hotel after a massive storm prevents them from going home. This new forced proximity forces them to get to know each other and face some of the events of the past. While being trapped with her enemy might sound like the worst thing in the world for Ellie, Gianni tries to win her over with his charm. Their banter was hilarious, their chemistry was intense, and I really felt like they were going from actual enemies into lovers.
Ellie held a lot of pain and fear of rejection inside her so she was pretty guarded but I loved how piece by piece Gianni was able to get her to let down her guard and enjoy what they had together. Gianni had the most growth to do in this book and his journey towards it felt real and not forced. While there was no shortage of sex scenes throughout the story, the journey to them actually developing a relationship was a very slow process. Before that happens you will enjoy some super steamy scenes including wall sex and some very hot angry sex!
I really enjoyed the placement of the surprise baby aspect. I’ve read too many books where it happens right at the beginning and the whole story is about the baby. This one happens after the halfway mark so you really get to see Ellie and Gianni together before the baby and then see them figure things out now that they are expecting.
Ellie only sees their differences when she thinks about her Gianni. She knows that he said he always gets bored and wants to find a new adventure and doesn’t want a family. Ellie is worried he will still leave and not want them after their baby is born. Can she trust that he has changed and that he now wants these things specifically with her?
The grand gesture in this book has got to be one of my favorites ever! It was so sweet and was a reminder how much they have always been in each other's lives. They are a part of each other forever.
