A quick pacey read.
I liked the idea of the murder mystery - Jay's husband dying in a plane accident and then the house being ransacked.
I do think a longer treatment would have benefitted both the development of the mystery and the personal stories of Jay and Doug.
The ending was a bit quickly wrapped up so some story lines were left hanging, hopefully they will be picked up in book 2. I will probably read book 2 to see how the series may develop but I would prefer more depth to the mystery element in a series such as this.

Okay, so, if you are reading this because of the mystery, just save you the pain, and don't. The plot was a mess, and doesn't make a lick of sense.

The romance was interesting and well told, though. Although I'm still wondering what was the point of Jay's friend Ethan and his pursuing of Jay.

Chris Chambers' narration was... less than stellar. Mixing voices is a no-no in my book :(

All in all, I finished it, so... it's up to you, I guess. At least, it's short :P

Jay's husband was killed in a plane crash, the authorities concluded it was an accident. Jay wasn't so sure, and when his home is ransacked, he employs private detective Doug to help. The feeling between them are tentative, but they grow the more time they spend together during the investigation. A cosy m/m mystery with a romantic undercurrent I found intriguing and engaging.
