I enjoyed the "trials" of the book and the Greek mythology woven within, but the romance fell flat and relied heavily on a bond that was previously established before the events of the books. It didn't read as "slow burn" to me like I had hoped.

I also found the ending to be very predictable, I guessed who the antagonists were within the first 3rd of the book. I did enjoy reading though, so I'll give it 3 stars.

I really loved this series - 4.5⭐️

I really enjoyed this series as a whole. I was always intrigued to see what the next trial would be, who was on what side and how everything would play out.

I did expect a little more from the big reveal of what Persephone had done wrong in her previous life as a god but it did provide some closure and I liked how they built on it.

Hades and Persephone retelling. Second chance romance with brutal competitions. I was here for it. Eliza Raine is one of my top authors. Her world building and character arcs are incredible.

While a bit tedious at times, this story was fantastic with good triumphing over evil and a happily ever after. If you enjoy reading Greek mythology or are looking for a new competition based read, I highly recommend this story. Perfect for lovers of Percy Jackson but with more adult content.

PS Skop is the perfect comic relief cause who wouldn’t love a shape shifting dog-gnome.

3.5 stars! It was a good story, not the best. The ending was rushed and I wish the author took some time on it since it took a while to get there. The storytelling of the Greek myths were well researched, which i enjoyed. Also, there are so many loose ends that I wish the author explained/described more. I would say this would be an easy, in-between read on your TBR!

I almost set this down many times. Probably should have.

Too much of story is built around we know what happened  but can’t tell you.
