Please be sure to read the Editor's Note in every story by James Howe as it is part of the story...too funny. Great book for children and adults and for the same reasons. Everything is seen from the perspective of Harold, the older dog, and you can't help but laugh and recognize the truisms of how dogs view the world, the detached outlook about children, the naiveté of Howie, the younger dog, and the gullibility of Chester, the cat.

Another spooky and hilarious entry in the Bunnicula series. Led to lots of debate with my kids about how true or not Chester's Bunnicula origin story was. Cool way to insert that into the series, and the best part is this gave my kids the yen to get out camping ASAP. Great fun!

An elementary English teacher first introduced me to Bunnicula. I then searched the school library and was excited to find there were more books in the series! Many moons later I still enjoy reading it again from time to time. As an autumn soul who loves all things spooky the nostalgia of an easy childhood favorite is a welcome reprieve. Also the perfect series for Easterween to mark halfway to Halloween!
