This is my first Edgar Alan Poe poem and I have to say I enjoyed it. It is so dark and mysterious, yet beautifully haunting and a delicate depiction of grief and decent into madness. I am not very good at analysing poetry, but I really was able to appreciate this poem and really liked Poe's style.

I also read the illustrated version by Ryan Price, and these illustrations fit the poem so well and really heightened my experience of reading this piece.
