This book was so predictable. Maybe it was so predictable because I read to much mafia romance who knows. But I felt like always knew what was coming next and what to expect. It was also like I had read this book before when it was the first time.
I love a good dark romance...
Instant obsession, check. Dark and brooding? Check. Touch her and d*e? Kind of check....
Rayne was that dark, broody, dominant alphahole that i have am always drawn to. But honey Emerson just did me in. Did she really get into an argument because this man paid her debts? Took offense to it? Idk what was going on. I was really into it in the beginning and wanted to really get into their story and how it was going to unfold but then it just stopped doing it for me. I was hoping for a bit more action around the Angelo Russo angle, but it was like they helped me climb the mountain to get to the spectacular view but once I got there it was covered in dark clouds and I couldn't see anything.
I did not dislike the story but I just did not get that oooh ahh sensation that I so long for.

Independently published book, had some spelling mistakes throughout, but overall plot was interesting and an easy read
Often, I refuse to read these kinds of novels because the line between a dark romance novel and a bad book is quite fine. This one, however, managed to surprise me. I liked the characters, and although the story progressed a little too quickly in my opinion (getting married within a month of knowing one another is enthousiastic to say the least), it was nice to read this book.
The heroine has the worst name ever . I spend half the book thinking she was a guy
It kept me captivated the entire time. The reason I gave it 4 stars is the re-read factor is low. The desire to re-read it is small despite being a good book. The spice was probably a 3/5 for me and they might have overused some terms throughout the book but I don't think it hindered the story. It feels like a good start to a series and would be good for someone trying darker romance.
It’s giving very much “pick me” girl energy.
Kinda weird that all the MMC’s siblings are named after the cold seasons but just spelled the way suburban white moms name their kids to be quirky. Bryleigh, Hayleigh. You know what I mean.
