Slow read. Inspirational story of how a man interviewed many Christians persecuted for their faith. He risked his life too sharing the gospel in Africa. Persecution is normalized in that country and they sometimes call it training instead of going to seminary school. During jail some people had to write out memorized scriptures and hymns so they won’t forget. They didn’t have access to Bibles. They don’t want prayers to stop persecutions but of faithfulness and obedience, they found it more concerning that persecution wasn’t happening in United States possibly because we aren’t as bold with our faith. Felt like I was reading modern day stories of book of Acts.

I finished reading this last week and had simply let it sit in my heart for a while before saying anything. And even now I find that I don't have much to say. This is an incredible book and it moved me and pushed me to action. I cried like a baby in conviction at the stories and questions posed. Not a book for the weak hearted who aren't striving for more life and goodness in Christ Jesus.

This was an excellent book. I am not sure the extent to which my life will be changed because of having read it, but there is no doubt in my mind that the change will be there. This book has offered a wonderful perspective on living for Christ and how to live BECAUSE of Christ.

This book is incredible! I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone. You will weep from the stories Nik tells but read through the tears to feel encouraged and uplifted, and possibly guilty over the easy and complacent life you live!

There were so many emotions reading this book. This book is about faith and trying to help out in Somaliland and other suffering countries and the obstacles faced. I did not know that those with faith suffer from prosecution just  because they have faith..

Wow! That's about all you can say when you finish reading this book!
I will confess the first half dragged for me. I think it was more due to my expectations of the whole book containing stories from Christians in dangerous geographic areas (the second half of the book), so I was a bit impatient to get to that. Although the first half has a lot of good information and really lays out how Nik came to have this mission and speak to so many people! Such a great book for any Christian!
