I am not used to finding a kindle unlimited book that I can't put down! This was a 5 star read for me and a page turner! There are a handful of books I wish I could read again for the first time and to Bleed a Crystal Bloom by Sarah A Parker is now included in that!
This is a dark (loose very loose) rapunzel retelling. The world building and magic system are wonderfully written. There isn't what I would consider spice but the angst and slow burn, but like Flames burning hot then.....a taste of spice.
The emotional waves you will take with this book, the love/hate you will have with the characters. You grow and find out the little tidbits along with Orlaith our main character, and when you find the secrets out with her, you realize the Easter eggs left for you! But there are still so many unanswered questions! I have already jumped into to her next book to Snap a Silver Stem and again it's hard to put down!

Wow. This was dark and tragic. It was a very intriguing beginning to a story. Very very slow burn with no spice in this book but I feel like it is still coming
