This just wasnt it for me.
After a couple of "we can't be togethers" and "didn't talk for months", it all felt dumb.
I don't want them to be together if they each have to sacrifice what they have in order to make it happen.
Her other recent book - Just for the Summer - feels like a different author.

My personal favorite of all Abby's books. A beautiful look into the world of memory care for a loved one.

Xavier was so sweet and caring, definitely the best book boyfriend I've read. Definitely had some really funny moments along with really sad ones. Loved the ending.

don’t read this book if dementia effects your family it will make you cry while making brownies on a wednesday.

i wanted this to be rated higher, but i dont think insta love books are for me. my mans was head over heels for samantha from the first page of the book and that just doesn’t feel believable to me.

however (!!!!!!) the effort that both of them put in to the long distance relationship (which, let’s be real that was the entire relationship) was very believable that they were in love i guess.

samantha was so confident in her job, and maybe that’s just because we never really went too deep into her position, but her reaction to being fired told me enough that i knew sister was shonked

hank was really a sleeper guardian angel to xavier

things i didn’t like: the constant bringing up of come on eileen….didnt care for that at all. but ms. jimenez has a habit of constantly mentioning the one token thing from how the main couple met throughout the story, and i think she could do with 75% less of the mentions. maybe 3 times max.

Cute! Liked it. Like the main characters. Began to feel a bit whiney in the 3rd act re: long distance, but I liked their love story and their vibe together, and I liked Samantha a lot. Good narratives outside the romance as well. I liked it!
