The Society of Shame is about a politician’s wife who comes home one night to find her garage on fire, her husband in his underwear and a twenty-something young lady with him. A picture is taken of the scene and the only thing anyone wants to talk about the next day is that she has her period and has bleed through her pants. How infuriating. The story takes us with her as she tries to tackle going viral and trying to make everyone like her in a time where that is literally impossible.
Minor: Blood, Infidelity, Cultural appropriation, Fire/Fire injury, Misogyny, Abortion, Alcohol, Gaslighting, Animal death, Sexism, Body shaming, Bullying, Hate crime, and Racism
