It is difficult to review The Moonshiner’s Daughter without spoilers. I never really settled into reading this novel - constantly squirming with a bit of discomfort. Jessie isn’t the most sympathetic protagonist, but I did feel sympathy for her. Moonshining isn’t the most laudable profession but it demands skill, perseverance, courage and keen senses. Redemption does not always guarantee a happy ending.

More a 3.5 then a 3. Fast, easy book but I was surprised to think about Moonshine still being made in the late 1950s. I think of it as a prohibition event...
3.5 stars- loved the dueling storylines from a first person perspective, just felt the ending was far too drawn out.
