funny lighthearted medium-paced

The last 4 or 5 books from Christina Lauren I've had my hopes up so high only to end up like, quite frankly, that I wasted my time. I think I'm just losing interest in their books because the romance is very rushed and shallow compared to their older books.

I really thought the idea of this time travel aspect was brilliant, but, it was explored in the first half of the book and then basically forgotten. Like the tree branch fell on her and then that was it. It seems very misleading to talk about Theo, and then spend the rest of the book pining over Andrew. I also found Mae to be erratic, and self-involved, despite the idea that she's supposed to be the "kindest."

Also I had a lot of trouble keeping up with all of the different characters. It was just too.... much.... all around. I think the romance was rushed, and because they told readers that Andrew and Mae had this year long connection rather than show it - it made it not believable.

I did find the writing funny, but I don't think I'm going to race to read any of their books in the near future.

Didn’t hate but didn’t love.

Not a big fan of brother love triangles but felt like this book had potential and really hooked me in the first 100 pages. In the end, the “grand gestures” felt rushed and disjointed from the story. The time loop plot line fell apart for me mid-book when it basically didn’t matter anymore and everything was resolved with a make out session, sigh. I didn’t feel like the lessons Maelyn learned connected with her original “issue”.

This was an ok book. It was very repetitive since she got into a car accident and had to relive the same day over and over again and it just started to get boring

Not what I was expecting based on the blurb. It was sweet and fun overall. Really good narration.

A cute, light read, perfect for the Christmas season. Maelyn Jones is spending the Christmas holiday with her parents and their friends at a cabin in Park City, Utah, just like they do every year. However, this year she gets to repeat some of her holiday, when there is a car accident or another accident occurs. The Groundhog Day effect provided a different scenario and a fun spin on this romance story. It was a tad predictable, but still enjoyable.
