This books comes with a CD of excerpts of thr music interspersed with readings of Prelutsky's poetry. This has been a good introduction for my younger children when we studied Saint-Saën as a family.

A CD of Camille’s music is included here to play. So, while we were reading the story we put the music on. The kids loved this music. We only needed a song or two while we read it. The next day they wanted to listen to the entire thing. They loved the finale and we danced and danced to that one.

The artwork is filled with energy and color and I do love it. Mary GrandPre is the woman who did the artwork for the original Harry Potter books as a reminder. She has a lovely style. There is a scene where there are birds everywhere and if you look at them, all over their bodies and wings are music notes. I love it. Each animal has a unique style.

Jack came up with the verses of poetry and they are fun. The verse along with the music and the pleased the kids. I don’t know if it helped them calm down for sleep, but we read something else after this to settle them again. This is my kind of entertainment. I am quite happy to pass this on to the kids.

The niece thought this was fun. I think the music helps get people feeling more. She gave this 4 stars. The nephew liked this story too with the music. He thought it was fun story for bed. He likes a story with music. He gave this 5 stars. He loved the music and the Kangaroos were his favorite.

This book has such fun rhymes!

There was a CD in the front of the book. Too bad I don't have a CD player anymore. I may have to get it back from the library and borrow a CD player from someone.
