better than thr first book, but also feels like the author is just trying to shove lots of new things in for the sake of it.

There is no character progression, main love interest does something horrible, mc is upset then gets over it and the cycle repeats

First off, the banter between Nyxaris and Medra is great, very reminiscent of another infamous dragon rider
