The first half was good, however it lost me near the end.
I still think that the FMC being from another universe is not talked about enoughand the MMC believing her just like that was so stupid, like this man has a toaster as brain if he didn't second guess her statement.

This book. Absolutely incredible.
The slow burn, the world building, the emotional damage and the ending... WOW. So many emotions during this book - laugh out loud moments, proper tear jerking moments and some proper kick-your-feet cuteness (and spice!)
I cannot wait until book 3 comes out!

Yo what was that ending?? I still have so many questions. I also still don’t understand the randomness of the mom subplot. I had no attachment towards her and I would still love to learn more about Medra’s actual background besides the vague “I’m not from this world” bit. I appreciated Blake’s character development and loved how more of the side characters were actually on Medra’s side. Bummed the third book got pushed back but happy for the author for getting picked up by a trad publishing house!
