This is not as dark as Sik Luv or Haunting Adeline. I enjoy the plot, though it feels a little thin. I was hoping to see her bond more with each man or at least have a couple lighthearted interactions with them as a group to really sell her turmoil over whether to stay or leave. Overall it was okay and I plan to read book 2.

I was so very excited when this story was announced, even with no details and based purely on the authors other works! And it absolutely did not disappoint! This story was much darker than anything previously written- in the best ways.

The secret society/small town in the UK vibe reminded me of Hot Fuzz if you took out all of the humor and added a hefty dose of spice. (And obviously didn't have the main character working as a policeman). The setting alone was enough to endear me to the plot, but adding in the multiple layers that make up the history of not only the town but also the secret society itself definitely added the world building depth I needed for a story like this.

The FMC, Harlow, is relatable in the sense that she isn't overly one thing. While we get snippets of her personality, none of those traits define her solely. She's such a well rounded character, and I genuinely cannot wait to watch her continue to develop and accept the darker parts of herself in the next book.

Where do I even begin….this book was AMAZING!!

If you enjoy Reverse Harems, a feisty FMC, kinks, and possessive men- Lords of Darkness is absolutely for you!

No one knew Harlow existed as her father hid her well. When the other Lords of Darkness found out about her, she became their obsession. They needed her to prove herself and show her true strength, even if that meant breaking her. Harlow, however, had other plans and was constantly torn between wanting to be with them and wanting to kill them.

Lords of Darkness ends on a HUGE cliffhanger, but I promise you, it is so worth it! This book gave me all the feels- from the spicy scenes, the moments that had me cracking up, to the scenes that had me feeling Harlow’s rage - I just couldn’t put this book down. It’s a must-read and I can’t wait for book number 2!

I LOVE Amanda's books, and this one was no different!

Lords of Darkness is definitely a DARK read that I enjoyed the entire book. I was sucked in from the first page and couldn't put it down until the very BRUTAL cliffhanger!! When Amanda promised us a dark book, she delivered. There are no warm fuzzy feelings you get from this book. And to be honest, half the time you are left wondering if you even LIKE the male main characters let alone love them. I will say there are a few parts that had me cracking up and growing a soft spot for them, and just like that I was back to wanting Harlow to figure out how to ditch them!

I will say that there are only two somewhat spicy scenes in this book, one that is full on smut and the other not, so this is definitely more a slow burn. Think of it as more a build up of what's to most likely come in book 2 (pun intended). There are definitely multiple discussions about it so know its coming!!!

This is definitely a dark romance read that will hook you in and leave you wanting to know what happens next! Can't wait to see more of Harlow and her lords!
