I think I'm gonna have to marinate on this one. Magical realism is always tough for me since there is the ambiguity of what did or didn't happen and what is or isn't real. I loved the meditation on the complicated nature of motherhood in the modern era. Gotta say, not sure why they thought it would make a good movie? The fluidity of Nightbitch's transformation (or not) is not something that I think would translate to the screen.
