I do so wish more people would write short stories, because this was delightfully weird but also so over explained. I might not ever get over the irony of the last paragraph including the protagonist being “a woman who now knew life unfolded through mystery and metaphor, without explanation.” You know, since almost every single metaphor in the book was explained. :)

What a strange little book. Found some moments to be overly descriptive but overall it’s well written and creative. Maybe I don’t understand 100% what it was trying to say because I don’t have kids? Who knows. Really makes motherhood sounds… great. /s
