Great concept and I really enjoyed the story. Unfortunately padded out a bit with very on-the-nose explanations of what's going on - could have been 5 stars for me if shorter and less thoroughly explained! Glad I read it though
I think I just got caught up with what the movie trailer showed and assumed it was a monster book. It didn't help that my last lit book I read was about an actual mountain lion, so I thought I was gonna get an actual animal. It all seemed psychological which was just not the book I'm in the mood at this moment.
