When I first started this book, I was very hesitant. Being older, it felt like I was reading a book meant for children because the characters are so young when it starts out. By page 15 or 30, I was crying. I don’t just mean I was crying a light little sprinkle, I mean I was SOBBING. I cried so hard I couldn’t see the pages of the book. This book single handedly broke me and put me back together. Beautifully written, exquisitely executed. Absolutely wonderful. This is now my “I want to cry because I have nothing better to do” book. Stunning.
To be honest, I was ready to give up on this book after a few pages, but the more chapters I read the more I got into it. But, towards the end with only about 50 pages to go, I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it. This book didn’t make me feel the emotion I thought I would feel. This book just wasn’t for me.
My goodness…. Oh my goodness this has broke me. Can’t write the review for the tears
