Not one of my favorite Binchy's, but always glad to read one of hers.

I give it another 1/2 star, but it wasn't quite to the four-star mark. I enjoyed it for the most part. It's a comfort read, but it fell short of Binchy's usual work. The antagonist disappeared for a few chapters, leaving me wondering what in the world happened. The resolution to the main story line felt incomplete. I felt cheated. It ended the way I expected it to, but the road to get there wasn't quite satisfactory. Oh, well. She can't hit it out of the ballpark every time, right?

This was a pleasant little book. Not a whole lot of drama, but an easy read. If you have ever read Maeve Binchy before and like her, then this book is a safe bet.

Not one of Maeve Binchy's best however, I like Maeve Binchy. The second half of the book is better than the first part.

I am giving this book a 3.5 stars. This book is about a little community that centers around a little baby girl. It is the kind of book that gives you a warm fuzzy feeling while reading it. Even though some of the events were not necessarily happy, the book always manages to make you feel happy.
The only reason I didn't rate it higher was because it felt a bit too long and it took me a while to finish reading it
