My library now has e-picture books. So much fun.

I probably wouldn't read this one unless I were teaching a class about the library, but it was fun to read a picture book for once.

This is an excellent way to introduce children to the Dewey Decimal System and the organization of non-fiction materials. It is very thorough, while still be easily understandable. At the end, it gives an example of the full meaning of each of the numbers in a Dewey Decimal classification. I highly recommend this book to children and adults who are looking at getting a better understanding of non-fiction classification.

Fiction-Twin-Text

I chose "Miss Brook's Loves Books (and I don't)" by Barbara Botther for this fiction-twin-text. "Do You Know Dewey" talks about the Dewey Decimal System and what section you can find different genre of books (500's are the science and mathematics). In "Miss Brook's Loves Books", the little girl in this book explores different books, with the help of Miss Brook's, in her library until she finds that one that she loves the most.
