I definitely enjoyed the way that this focuses on discussions about gender and identity, but also finding friends who let you be who you are. Plus, the art was easy to read and easy to follow!

I struggled a bit with this book and that's largely due to the fact that things seem to happen really fast in terms of 'friendships'.  I feel like the supporting characters were largely there as props, their relationships to one another felt forced and awkward.  The trans narrative itself was fine, definitely part of a different cultural perspective that does resonate across cultures as well.  The art was nice though I felt that some of the graffiti used didn't vibe with the style of the rest of the book and looked out of place.

The art style was amazing. And at the beginning I really loved the main duos friendship blossom, their dynamic was honestly amazing. I also really enjoyed watching the pov shift and see an outsider of the two.
I wasn't completely interested in the story line but I loved how it brought together all these interesting characters and do want to see them succeed.
Also it was so refreshing to see a trans character!

Thank you to NetGalley and publishers for this free eArc! This is my honest review.

I received an advance copy from Kodansha Comics via Netgalley for review purposes. This in no way influences my review; all words, thoughts, and opinions are my own.

This is my first manga by Keito Gaku, but it was so incredible, and I look forward to more from him! And I'm definitely looking forward to the continuation of this manga.

I was immediately intrigued because rarely can I find manga starring trans protagonists, and especially synopses that clearly state that the protagonist is trans. I really enjoyed Ryo's story and especially his developing friendship with Jin and Itsuka; Jin's acceptance of Ryo saying he's a boy and the way they work together to design and develop their brand is wonderful to see.

I also really like the art style. It's really beautiful and the faces are all distinguishable and I love how expressive the art is.

All around this was an excellent start to a story of a trans teen starting a fashion brand and developing new friendships around that brand. I really enjoyed this, and cannot wait for the next volume! I'm also especially excited to see more of Tsubasa, a genderqueer character who's introduced in the last pages!
