loveddddd it, it is very formal and outdated language. edit: I thought the letter in the bottle was a sneek peak of a different book and almost didn’t read it. THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD.

A fantastic book, a little hard to get into, but the way Christie manages to manipulate 10 very distinct and different people all at once is honestly incredible. The mystery is paced just right, and the final twist threw me for six. The "solution" totally blew my mind, but it made so much sense.

An amazing mystery, the best yet, and possibly the best ever.

Agatha Christie is a genius. Her plot and brilliant writing style is incredible. This book is a page-turner. Spectacularly incredible, this one was full of suspense and I was hanging on every word. I loved that I almost knew what would happen next because of the sequence and yet, had no idea how it would happen. The result, however, was fascinating. Highly recommended to someone who loves mysteries.

This might be one of the scariest Agatha Christie novels. It was just so well written and the ending really took me by surprise. Spoiler:
I just never imagined that it was Wargrave. But it makes so much sense.
Some people wrote reviews saying they knew after the first 60 pages who the murderer was, but I wasn't able to put all the pieces together. It also presents the reader with an interesting ethical question, about "murder" and "justice".
I am glad that the newer editions have been edited to change the racist title and poem. This doesn't change the overall plot and makes the book accessible to all.
Still, fair warning: all of the characters are overtly racist, sexist, and/or anti-Semitic. But they are meant to be assholes.
