4.5 ⭐️ cute broken baby boys

Okay, this was a random audiobook pick up. I've been obsessed with Teddy Hamilton's work lately. & Imagine my surprise to come across a free audiobook. Matter of fact, it's actually criminal that this one was free. I feel offended for some reason.

Right off the bat, I was skeptical. You read enough books, you can kind of piece together the plot, for sure the love interests. I go in 100% blind to all of my books. So, the love interests. I didn't realize I was stepping into forbidden romance? Taboo? Both? But damn. I think the evolution of their relationship was written beautifully. I mean sure I was confused about the team switch with no explanation, but it didn't seem forced so that made it a little better. I also liked that it wasn't a big deal, and Deacon was just truly going with the flow, no fucks given. But, I'm 99% sure that's not realistic at all. LOL.

This book tore at my soul. Wounds in my heart were ripped wide open. So it hurt every step of the way, and although I'm a fucking masochist, it wasn't that fun. It's hard when you can actually relate because you've been there. & This is probably the deepest cut I have in me. So, is it a 5 star read because I can relate? Or is a 5 star read because I felt like the emotions were accurately portrayed? I don't know. Again, the only thing I was upset about was the lack of explanation for the team switch. Maybe the bitch ass mom too. But as painful as the journey was for me, I enjoyed every painful step it took to reach the end.

Reread before “With You” came out!

Without You is a heartfelt masterpiece that takes readers on an emotional journey of love, loss, and healing. This MM romance beautifully explores the raw, tender process of mending two broken souls after the devastating loss of a loved one.
Marley's storytelling is nothing short of incredible, weaving a tale of profound connection and resilience. The love that blossoms between the characters is unique and deeply moving, a testament to the power of vulnerability and hope. The healing they experience is depicted with such care and authenticity.
I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook while reading, which brought the story to life in a way that heightened every emotion and nuance within the pages. The narration enriched the already vivid narrative, making it impossible not to be completely immersed in the journey.
Without You is a true testament to the beauty of finding love and light amidst darkness. Marley Valentine has crafted a tale that is both heart-wrenching and uplifting, and I can’t recommend it enough.
