Certes ce n'est pas la meilleure série de l'éditeur mais j'aurai quand même aimé la fin ...

In this, the second book in the Magister trilogy, the author really moves the story forward, adding layers to the complexity and deepening the characters, the history, and the mystery.

Not as good as the first book. The plot has shifted considerably, pulling us further from the main character. Let's hope Friedman hasn't been studying at the School Of Robert Jordan!

Enjoyable read, but some of the fast paced action scenes near the end can get confusing as the author jumps from one POV character to the next between sentences. This gives the ending a sloppy feeling.

Another great work by C.S. Friedman! I have all 3 books of this series so I am able to read them all one after another without forgetting what last happened. However, this one had many editing mistakes, with multiple misspellings and words being completely left out. Kind of disappointing coming from Friedman.

Kind of more solid than the last book, had a lot more focus. Although I do take issue with the concept a little bit, just because it doesn't QUITE make sense (no one knows where Magisters get their magic from, but they know where witches do? And NOBODY has put two and two together? Come on), and it kind of annoys me how the protagonist keeps banging dudes and then they die.

An interesting addition to the series. Hopefully, I'll finish it up soon.

Second book in the trilogy and we get pulled even more deeply into this dark but fascinating world. I love how diverse the characters are, how many shades of grey there are. Can't wait for the unavoidable final battle!
